Time for Lunch!

Time for Lunch!

The Time for Lunch Campaign is a project of Slow Food USA, an educational non-profit with the goal of creating a world in which everyone can enjoy food that is good, clean, and fair.

This year, Slow Food USA is asking parents, teachers, and every responsible citizen to speak up and tell our nation’s leaders that change can’t wait: It’s time to provide our children with REAL FOOD at school.

Slow Food St. Louis is hosting a “Time for Lunch Eat-In” on September 7th at Schlafly Bottleworks and to make this a hugely successful event, we need your help!

If you’d like to help with event planning, please join at 6:15 pm this evening at Schlafly Bottleworks for an information session about our Time for Lunch Eat-In!

If you can’t help with planning, but still want to contribute, sign Slow Food USA’s petition here, and join us on September 7th for a fun day!

I work with child care homes and administer the USDA Child Care Food Program.
Let’s not forget that food choices/preferences are established befoe kids get to school.
I would challenge you to include child care programs in your advocacy efforts to get more nutritional foods to children.
