Kakao Chocolate Tasting – February 12th!

Join us for a special evening highlighting your favorite treat — chocolate!
Slow Food St. Louis is pleased to present an evening of Chocolate with Brian Pelletier, chief chocolatier at Kakao Chocolate. Kakao was named Best Chocolate in St. Louis by the Riverfront Times, so you don’t want to miss this!
For a $5 tasting fee, Brian will share with us the history of chocolate, how it’s produced, and what makes chocolate so good (and good for you!). We’ll also discuss how many industry leaders approach the concepts of organic and fair trade chocolate. And best of all, he’ll lead us through a tasting of all-natural, hand-made Kakao confections and tell us how he makes them.
The event is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 (just in time for Valentine’s Day!) at The Schlafly Bottleworks.
NOTE: RSVPs are now closed due to overwhelming interest in this event. If you RSVP’d to Kimberly before 9:00 am on February 6th, you are in. For those of you that wanted to go but didn’t RSVP, don’t worry, Brian has agreed to host another tasting at a later date!
See you there!
